What are the effects, physical and mental, of a shortage of sleep?
physically you will gain weight and your muscle tone will be short. Mentally, your memory and cognitive skills will suffer. Your mood will also be effected.
Sleep deprivation can lead to slow reactions of time. It may also inflict headaches and nightmares more frequently. The mind will dribble asleep if it cannot get ample sleep causing it to not function properly. Some side symptoms of chronic drought of sleep are feeling fatigue or depression as body become drained (Haynes).
A major problem cause by sleep deprivation is behavioral changes such as: irritability, short bad feeling, impatience, and stressful situations with more anger or melancholy, also can cause more obsession than they would normally own. If you continue to enjoy prolonged lack of sleep your immune systems will instigate to break down and become unstable to fight diseases (Haynes). To show how this is cause the researcher has done a study on how much sleep he/she get and how they felt that daylight.
Sleep deprivation has frequent harmful effects and here are some reasons you cannot stop prolonged drought of sleep. Sleep is essential to the studying and learning if you do not win enough sleep the mind can shut down from not have enough rest and can injure the human body.
